Name ideas
Hello all,
Practically everything is ordered and either here or on it's way, my dad is making the shelf etc today, so now I just need to (impatiently) wait until everything is ready.
So I'm starting to think about possible names, I don't like human names for my animals, and as a robo is so cute, I'd like a 'cute' name.
So any ideas?
I don't know if I'm getting a boy or girl yet, do they have the same sort of temperament or would you recommend one gender more then the other?
I've always had girl hamsters, but my gerbils were boys.....
As for names I've come up with Pippin for a boy, but girls names aren't coming to me yet.

Re: Name ideas
Pippi for a girl (if you happen to get a girl and like the name Pippin?)
maybe Pepsi or Coconut

Re: Name ideas
I'm not surprised you can't wait. Robos are fab, like little furry goldfish. I've only had boy robos so can't help you on the temperament thing with them.
I find they do tend to name themselves eventually, even though sometimes it takes a few days but it's nice to have some ideas ready and see what fits.
How about Popcorn? Well, they do ping all around the cage!

I like Pippi, that's cute
Coconut would be good for a pure white, I'll add those names to my list.

Re: Name ideas
You could have a neutral name that would do for a boy or a girl
Fizz
Dervish (as in whirling dervish)
Hurricane (which could then be Hurricane Henry or Hurricane Hannah eg)
Pippin is also a hobbit name
So Merry might be an option too, or a dwarf or elf name
Legolas
Ori or Nori
Other neutral names:
Beano
Chief
Dandelion
Dandy
Toffee
Fudge
Candy
Bleeper

You know Lord of the Rings? Yeah that's where I got Pippin from, Merry is nice, as well as the other three you mentioned.
Dervish, I like that just for the fact it made me laugh! I'll add those to my list, thanks.

Re: Name ideas
Personally I'm a fan of having meaningful names for my pets,or at least ones that have a personal meaning to me.I also love food related names though, and there are a few here already I'd suggest finding a name meaning website if you want that has names with their meanings if you would like a very meaningful name, and that's how I ended up with different ideas for ham names at least personally.

Re: Name ideas
Candy, Polar, Star, Dusty, Kibble (suggested my friend's little boy!), Po ... Now all I can think of are names from children's TV shows! (I'm not watching, honest!)

Don't be embarrassed by watching them if you do!I think they can be very fun if you find decent ones

Re: Name ideas
Congrats on getting you new robo! I also thought of Cotton too for a white robo, went with Coconut. My white robo's full name is Coconut Latte but I call her Latte for short. Just like I call Maddi and Izzy these nicknames for short. Have fun like it sounds like you are doing! Another name for a robo I thought of is Snow if it's white? Although I'd probably call it Snowbear, then Snow for short
