Flower is up and just sitting by her wheel.

She has been there for over half an hour. She washed and has wandered around a bit but generally just sitting. Amazing considering that when she and Fairy were in together she would be utterly whizzing most of the time. She would sit by the wheel then too but usually manically whizzed around.

She is now on her wheel.

That`s a big wheel for a teeny robo! I agree about adding deeper substrate though and perhaps having a few water bottles inside the cage in bottle stands you can make, like this:

She's lovely. She is probably adapting to the change of the new cage and her sister not being there, I'm sure she'll settle in soon. I'm also thinking the same thing as Cypher - she desperately needs a load of substrate in there! Although it would be low round the wheel it could slope up to a few inches deep opposite the wheel. Give her a load of substrate and she can happily leap about in it and dig some tunnels. Sorry if you're waiting for some to arrive or something. Or are you worried she might get out through the bars if it was deeper? A couple of inches should still be low enough for her not to escape but more comfortable.

Her substrate is deep enough to make tunnels on the right hand side in that first picture. She spends a lot of time underground. I did add more this morning now that she has chosen her bed (in the wooden house).

He bowl is always clean in the morning so I dont feel that a bottle is necessary although if I go away it would be good to have one as back up for whoever looks after them so mabe I will get a stand for the nice glass one I bought recently.

Does her face look like an agouti colouring to you guys? Her eyebrows dont seem to be defined like Fairy's are.

Not that good on colours really, sorry.

You could block her wheel area off as Serendipity suggested & then just put a good deep layer in the rest of the cage, I have to be honest & say that really doesn't look very comfy for a ham, she should really be able to dig around where ever she likes & they do like to dig so!
Even in a warm room bare plastic can be a bit chilly too so it would be cosier if the whole floor was well covered.

Thanks for the advice. I have now put loads and loads of substrate in and have made the wheel area the only bald bit. Will put her a shelf in for the water dish and food bowls.

She really loves that wheel (as does Fairy, she has an identical one) its the karlie 8 inch one. They both whizz round on them! It really does look massive next to her doesnt it?
