October Baby, Angelica
Here is Angelica's story, She is a 6-7 week old agouti robo hammie. I adopted her from a rescue company who was selling animals at Pet Smart.
She was by herself in a cage with only a wheel and a food dish, no hidey huts or toys so she was sleeping in her wheel. She was at the store for only 2 days and I was the first to inquire about her.
I was texting the rescue agency and they in turn called Pet Smart to let them know that I could pick her up same day. She was part of an accidental litter and the family that had the babies reached out to the agency for help. I'm glad that it was only 2 days that she had to stay at that store. Now she's all set up in a 20 gal long tank with 2 wheels and she has a home.
I keep her in my bedroom so I can hear her little feet on the wheel at night. She isn't very skittish probably because she's not from a farm and all the stress they have to go through before they can find a home.
She only cost me $5.00, I'm still upset about my recent losses but she is helping. She was hard to photo but I got one that turned out clear.

Re: October Baby, Angelica
She looks lovely. I do so love roborovskis.
Lucky girl to have a nice big tank and two wheels. I bet she loves having deep substrate and a place to hide in.
My robos love toilet roll inners to whizz through.
Welcome to hamster central Angelica.

CB, so what happened to no more robos? Totally understand why you adopted her, Angelica is so very cute. You've got so much love to share.

Re: October Baby, Angelica
Thanks for all your compliments, Lizzy, said no more Russians cause of their diabetes prone. But robos are good for me with my current cages. I like enjoying a more watch pet right now. I have 3 robos now and this one isn't white but how many white hamsters do I need? A little variety is good

Re: October Baby, Angelica
Just saw her come out to drink and eat, I wish she could be in the big room but she better off quarantined in the bedroom for now. She woke me up with her wheels for a few minutes last night. As she gets bigger I'm sure there will be more noise, then I'll put her in the room with the others.

Well done CB for giving another little one a loving home. A robo sounds right for you at the moment and the photo shows Angelica is a beauty.

Re: October Baby, Angelica
Thank you Lizzy & Coco, your so very right that all I need is a little robo to take care of. Much less stress.
It makes me feel good that she is a rescue too. I'm sure she would have found a home soon, but you never know sometimes the robos sit for weeks without a home in the pet stores.
