Re: A bit of advice needed
Looks like they all have lovely homes now, I'm sure they're going to be really happy in there
I've never been to Ikea but I can't help but look online from time to time, just dreaming of hamster stuff lol!

Re: A bit of advice needed
I can't remember the last thing I bought that wasn't hamster related! All of the draws in the units are full of hamster supplies haha.
Chip seems really happy! I'm going to make him some little levels and things too so his cage is more interesting.

Re: A bit of advice needed
They both look fantastic Heather. Hopefully the pair in the Detolf won`t need a splitter placed between them! Fingers crossed. x

Re: A bit of advice needed
I know that feeling heather, I seem to buy loads of hammy stuff and then wonder where I'm going to put it. They're taking over lol!

Re: A bit of advice needed
Just got a nice picture of Chip .
Just a quick one, his nails seem really long - if you look closely on this pic you can see. Would putting something rough in the cage be enough, or will I need to take him the vets for a trim? (I really wouldn't trust myself to clip them).

Re: A bit of advice needed
He's so pretty! I would try putting something in his cage for his nails and see what happens.

Re: A bit of advice needed
He looks really sweet bless him!
I have all sorts of surfaces in the cages that should in theory help keep their nails down but it doesn't always work, some just seem to grow really long regardless!
I think it was Jier (sorry if I got that wrong!) who suggest putting some sand paper in a small box they like digging in to see if that helps, to much time with sand paper can make their feet sore but a little box they have a dig in now & then might help.
I'm giving it a go with Mickle, I lined the base of an egg box with sandpaper, a bit early to say if it's working or not though.

Aww Mayo! Salt or Vinegar would be cute too!
Thanks . I like being able to come here at every stage, I'm a worrier and also very indecisive so it's good having people to talk it all through with xx

It has to be Scraps! (Fish, chips, peas and scraps - or is scraps just a northern thing?)
