Default Taking help

We've had Yuki for over 5 days now so I'm going to gradually start to tame her. Whenever we feed her she pops out to have a look and see what we're doing. We've added some tissue with our scent on and she's been very interested in them. I put a treat on my hand and left it in the cage eventually she came over sniffed and ran away, so I put the treat in front of her and she ate it. She seems to be getting a little better but she's still spooked very easily. I know it'll take a while to tame her and I'm happy with her progress so far, but does anyone have any tips for taming robos?
*taming help not taking lol, stupid phone

lol! I could easily take a robo but I don't think taming a robo will be so very different to taming your other dwarfs, it will probably just take more time & patience.
I think robos are very similar to chinese in as much as they tend to be very shy & timid, unless they come from a breeder & have been handled from an early age.
I don't have any experience with robos but my Chinese was incredibly shy & timid when I got her, the slightest sound or movement & she was gone so I just spent ages doing no more than talking to her & being careful not to make any sudden or fast movements around her cage.
I'm sure it varies with the individual as much as the species tbh but she hated the taming bin method when I tried it, sitting in the playpen with her seemed to stress her out less but she still wasn't too keen.
Mostly I just took my time & waited for her to get up her courage to come to me which she did, tentatively at first but she gradually got more confident & is now just plain cheeky lol!
I was thinking just yesterday how far she's come on when she was happily perched on the back of my neck pulling my hair!
I think really you just have to go slow, let them set the pace to some extend, it sounds as though you're off to a good start already & if you don't try to rush it you'll probably progress quicker than you expect.

Lucy made it very clear to me early on that she is a "look but don't touch" kind of robo xD I've gotten to where I can offer her treats and she will take them; sometimes she will even climb onto my palm to do so, but any attempt to lift her or touch her otherwise is met with the same answer: running away and hiding in her house until I leave the room. So I give her treats when I can but otherwise just leave her to her own devices.

XP sorry I can't be more help, but that's what works for me and Lucy.

I've heard it suggested that tub or bin taming works better for some robos, but when I tried it Lucy just hid under the toy I'd brought and wouldn't come out for anything but it may work better for your robo if you want to try it.

Thanks for the advice I'll try the box thing in a couple of days when she's a bit more comfortable. And cypher my dwarfs were surprisingly easy to tame lol, they were just a little nippy so I had to use gloves but that's settled down now and I never use gloves now. I don't remember how I tamed them actually, I know I didn't use treats because they weren't fussed about them.
