Smile Sand Baths for Robos

I have decided to have a pair of female robos rather than gerbils as having already got a dwarf it will be cheaper in the long run ... and I am just about to order my Kios cage (I hope it fits!) I have an 8" sand bath but I'm just wondering how deep you have the sand? The bowl is 7cm deep but I doubt you need that much sand!

I looked at robos in P@H today and there was only one so I'll go back at the end of the week and will just have to wait. Unfortunately as I found out when looking for Bramley there are no breeders in Kent. It's 60 miles even to get to the M25!

I usually give about 1 to 1.5 cm of sand and it worked fine for my robos. I started out giving them much more, and they really did love digging in deeper layers, but they will kick almost all the sand out of the dish by one night, so I gave up on that idea. XD

Good luck on your search for your robos!
