1. Can they get Wettail?
No, only Syrians can suffer from wet tail. They can get diarrhea and other similar bacterias, but not
wet tail.
2. Do you need to have a partner?
Not really. They do very well with a friend and I don't know what my girls would do without each other, but no. They don't need a friend like some animals (say rats) do.
3. What is the minimum size for a cage? (bin)
I would not go under 2322 square cm (360 square inches). They may be small, but they need plenty of room to help burn off that energy and the bigger the better.
4.when they get tame, will they willingly come out like syrains? (i.e climb up you arm and such)
Some could, yes and some do. However many are not like syrians when it comes to handling. Preferring not to be handled. Even those that do become tamed, can take a long while. One of my girls took 9 months-ish and the other I am still working on (I've had them for over a year). The one that is tame doesn't enjoy being handled much though. They are often referred to as more of a 'watch' pet. And trust me they are a blast to watch.
5. Do they live as long as syrains?
About the same, though some people have found them to live even longer. This is likely because they are still rather new to the pet market and aren't as popular.
6. Is there a common illness found in robos?
Cancer perhaps? But nothing species-specific that I can think of. They aren't prone to diabetes for example.
