Re: Pedro and Isaac
Congrats! They're adorable! The best guide is to ensure they have two of everything, no levels and scatter feed. I think that's the main ingredients to happy pairs. Oh and only take them out together so that their scents don't change individually, as that can cause arguments.
Looking forward to learning more about your two lovely robos!

Re: Pedro and Isaac
I am looking forward to learning about them too.
Handling them though i think will be the biggest problem. As i dont know what kind of home they had and guessing they was never handled much because the reason they went to the adoption centre is the owner was allergic to them apparently.
Sweet little faces, will have to get two stand alone wheels then as at the moment i only have the one.... or would they be okay without wheels? or are they wheel orientated? at the moment they ignored the one they have. rotostak cages any good for them, tunnely ones? or boxes for mazes? are they usually chewers?
at the moment they have a glass tank, but as a little impulsive rescue. (cute faces got the better of me) im prepared to go robo home searching.... will probably have to be ebay, or carboot sale finds... lol.

Re: Pedro and Isaac
I don't know a great deal about robos, however generally rotastak are bad cages due to poor ventilation, lack of corners and small running space. The glass tank is probably fine though. Wheels are generally needed as they may use them when you are asleep - in the wild hamsters run miles at night, and robos are speedy things so they'll probably enjoy a wheel. Although you do get individual differences in personality - so some hams don't like them.
Having a search on the forum and in the robo section will no doubt answer your questions. Here is a thread Dan made about preparing for a pair of robos which you might find useful: Roborovskis
Erin recently got a pair of robos, her photo journal and videos may give you an idea of what to expect. Erin also makes great "How to"-type videos, so you might want to check them out, although not sure if she's made any for the robos! Kiku and Jení's Photo Journal
Pompompoms is a robo breeder on here so if you've had a search on the forum (or google by typing "hamster central X" where X = query) and still kind find an answer I'm sure she'd be happy to help.
Sorry I'm not much more help than that!

Re: Pedro and Isaac
Congrats are your lil uns
I find the best way to keep the peace is to keep the cage set up simple Avoid house if you can and give them an open nest. You can use tunnels and cardboard boxes with multiple exits to give them somewhere to hide.
Definitley give them two wheels as I haven't known a robo not to like wheel running.
Erm can't think of anything else so any questions just ask away x

Re: Pedro and Isaac
lol @ sammi, our pedro is so called as my daughter was so wrapped up wanting to play with playdough, i asked her what new hammy be called and sounded like pedro,.... shes only 2, so it stuck, n i just like name Isaac to go with... lol
will have to get another wheel/stand, but they been running along side each other today, so they dont seem too fussed at the moment and gives me chance to get another. (been round all of town - not one stand alone wheel (will have to make another stand at this rate)...
and found a house with multiple entrances, just thought would help... but nope, they both decided to go to sleep in the toilet roll middles i gave them! lol.
found some terracotta pots for ham baths... so far.... nothing. although milly, one of mousies babies, (syrian) decided to lick at it?!?! (v strange face when she obviously got the taste.lol)
anyways... will keep posted. and will try get more pics too. lol.
