Leaving behind some of the substrate can also help instead of washing things on separate days, if you would prefer.

princessbarbie1988: I would say that it would depend on the hamsters. I use two 6.5" silent spinners for my pairs of hamsters, but i know that others use different wheels, different sizes or a wheel and a saucer. I've never had a hamster that took interest in a saucer, so I always have both wheels in. If the hamsters were able to and enjoyed using both then you could, the idea of having two wheels is so they don't fight over the one- if they both love the wheel better than the saucer (or vice versa) than you're still going to get squabbles over said toy. I would recommend that both wheels/saucers are big enough for both hams to run on because a lot of the time they seem to love trying to run together:

thanks everyone really helpfull! does any one keep two robos in a bin cage!? if so where did you buy the box!.....interesting point on wheels big enough for two to run!
I keep all of mine in bin cages lol
My older robos are in this one from Dunelm - Buy Plastic Underbed Storage Box Online | Storage Boxes | Dunelm Mill
This is their current set up although they are missing a wheel at the moment.

This box has a lot of space in it, they have 2 large houses and all their toys in there.

And my pups will be in this one I just bought from Wilkinsons - Crystal Storage Box with Lid Clear 62ltr | Storage Boxes with Lids | | Plastic Storage from Wilkinson Plus
This is the half-finished set up I have for them, there are still lots of things I need to buy for them. Wheels, more toys, house etc.

My older robos have tested the wilkos box out and I think it is the better buy as it has much more space and is just 10cm short in width of the hamster heaven You can fit plenty of toys in both though and there is lots of running space for them

Well if yours dont run on the saucers together it is probably best to keep the wheels and move them opposite each other so that there is no fighting over who gets to use a certain one. They sound oober cute though, I LOVE roborovskis cant wait to see the pictures x

hey, i have two male robos and they were part of the same litter when i adopted them and they where living in the same cage at the pet shop, so i put them in a spacious cage together and they were fine, the usual play fighting broke out but as you know this is nothing to worry about. I have now had them for about 2 month now and they have been fine up untill last night, i bought them a wheel and after i put it in they started fighting and making load squeeking noises, i took the wheel out yet they still kept fighting, i seperated them and saw that my bigger robo was bleeding at the bottom of his back. They have been seperated all night as i didnt want them killing each other while i was asleep. I have tried to put them back together today but they just keep fighting, anyone know what to do to get them to stop or should i keep them seperated?
