The inevitable happened....
world war III broke out at 4am this morning between Tre and Mike so I've had to separate Mike (victim) from Tre (killer) and Billie Joe.
Not sure I've separated the right robo because Tre is bullying BJ more now. BJ used to be the dominant pushy one but now Tre is the big meanie and not so long ago BJ had a bite wound on his face. I thinks it was Tre who did that.
So do I separate Mike or Tre? I dunno how Mike will be with Billie Joe, don't want BJ picking on him either, although I think they will get along better without axe murder Tre around lol
Mike is significantly smaller compared to the other two

Re: The inevitable happened....
Aw, I'm sorry I've just gone through a traumatic (for me) separation myself. But it is what it is--they know better what's good for them. I'd separate the one who is wounded, but in this case, you can separate the one who bullies most, I think. I'd just spend an hour watching them all and seeing who initiates the most bullying. It's usually pretty obvious quickly. If the other two get along fine, I'd separate the bully.

Re: The inevitable happened....
I just hate to imagine what would of happened if I ignored them and woke up to find one dead
Have separated Mike for the meantime to let his injury heal. If Tre has problems with Billie then I will switch them around
It's not nice seeing any animal suffer even if its a 'natural' behaviour x

Re: The inevitable happened....
I think you're right to give Mike a little time to relax and heal himself. It may well be Tre that's causing the problems, and not so good at sharing his space!
Three is a difficult number to keep together, but of course not impossible. Fingers crossed they can settle down again, but good to know you have such a good eye on them and plans for what to do if it turns out they're not going to be able to exist harmoniously.

I wish I could of kept Mike alone longer but I've had to swap him and Tre around because Tre was harrassing Billie Joe this morning! Mike and Billie are much happier together and I think Tre is with his own cage

Im sorry to hear this! this is the only thing that puts me off having multiples, but I agree with everyone when they say the time they have together is worth it.
I hope little mike feels better soon! at least you singled out the trouble maker.
Is this behaviour higher in boys or girls? or equal?

Good, I hope this will sort them out for a while As much as it is sad, I now appreciate the fact that some of the little guys like their own kingdom where no one interferes with what they want to do (Dora)

I would say its down to preference, nothing I've read or seen links certain behaviours to gender. Mind you, not much is known about robos
And I am thankful that things have settled down again, I don't want to have 3 separate cages in my tiny room! x

Re: The inevitable happened....
I've been reading that it doesn't depend on gender, though I do wonder if girls being in heat periodically might set off their fights. I never got to test that theory, because Dora just wouldn't calm down with Leela, and I separated them before too long.
