New to robo hammy.
Hi, I just gotten my 2 new robo hamster.
The problem is, they seem to get along fine on the first day, but on the second day, I notice that they would start shoving each other, pushing and kicking, and they tend to disturb one another while either of them are eating.(stealing food from their mouth/hand,jumping on to the other while it was eating etc)
Another problem is, whenever I put my hand in to try to tame them, they will bite me. I even bought a chew toy for them, but they didn't like.
I am at loss of what is it that I should do. I read on the forum, everyone say separate them, but they just got to my house like, 2-3 days.
help please!

Re: New to robo hammy.
Hmm, separation is likely in their near future to make sure they don't kill each other or harm each other. They are still getting used to their new surroundings so maybe it's just stress. As for biting you that is all because everything is new. Read up on the threads about taming hamsters. Lots of time is needed. Start with talking to them and offering treats so they can smell you. Graduate up to play time with them.

Re: New to robo hammy.
I got 2 a week ago and they would nudge each other and slept in separate houses all the time but now they snuggle up together and don't nudge each other. So there is a possibility that it could be down to the stress.

well, I gotten a bigger cage for them, so they are basically staying with each other except with two homes. Can hamster chew cloth? They do not like their chew toy. I am at loss of what chew toy I should buy for them already. =/

Mine haven't been chewing either. I know this isn't a chew but they love millet, mine munch on it all the time.

Re: New to robo hammy.
Try some wooden toys and toilet paper rolls for chewing.

Re: New to robo hammy.
Its normal for robos to bat each other and some fight for dominance if one is not accepting to be the submissive.
I would keep a close eye and remove anything that seems to cause fights, I woudl seperate if you see any blood drawn.
Also, watch both their weights to make sure one isn't stopping the other from getting sufficient food.

Re: New to robo hammy.
Are you giving them the best chance to stay together? You can never guarantee they will, but there are things you can do to improve their chances. There are a lot of threads here with excellent advice, but mainly:
A big enough cage
Two wheels
Open nest is ideal at the moment (if you do have a covered nest, there need to be two entrances/exits)
Scattered food
Two sand pits
Possibly two water bowls/bottles
At the moment no tubes, no hide aways ect that either could take as their own territory. Keep everything very simple and keep a very close eye.
