Lovely photo of your new hamster. I hope she settles in well once you get her. I look forward to seeing her tank once setup and more photos of her to.

stay away from soft wood bedding unless it says kiln dried. aspen bedding is fine my hamster is a winter white dwarf she has carefresh bedding which holds burrows really well and is very soft. i would reccomend you use some carefresh. use some sunflower seeds in taming instead of yogurt drop you can feed your hamster half a yougrt drop a week if you want

Thank you for the advice I've already ordered some carefresh, and i'll probably get it some time next week. Until then i've got a hold of some aspen snake bedding that i'm hoping will be good. And i'll definatly buy some sunflower seeds

She is a gorgeous little Black Mottled Campbell's! I absolutely adore her! The way you've gone about gathering information and preparing to provide the best care for her is wonderful and she will surely live a very happy life. ^_^ All new hamster owners really should do this!
