So, we have had a busy weekend! I was trying to get some cage ideas in other thread, but seeing the prices and everything (I was about to buy the Alaska cage, but I was also worried about the height), I decided to pick up a bin cage this weekend while in Ikea. (Cypher, thank you so much for your help there!)

So, I have a new cage ready for Loki and he seems to be very excited about it already! He was playing in my bathrobe sleeves as always and then I managed to snap this lovely photo:

Cant wait to see how he settles in his new cage once its ready!

Awwww so adorable.
They don't like being cleaned out.
Mine either sulks like that, or has a hissy fit and moved her stuff about.
She even moved her wheel away from the wall.

What a lovely hamster you have. My hamster Toria looks at me whenever I scoop the bedding out of her cage.

So Loki has really been enjoying his new cage! Thank you all for your replies, I am glad i can share it somewhere!
I also added mealworms as a treat into his diet and OMG he went crazy. I never saw him this quick.
This is a photo afterwards - it is like "mom, more veggies? I want more worms I am a dangerous worm hunter!!!"

Here he is watching tv series with me

And lastly this is his furious attack on paper tissues after getting his house cleaned

I was quite worried because I noticed a tiny red spot on his paw, but it seems OK today, I will keep checking.

Glad to hear that Loki thoroughly enjoyed his mealworms (my Pumpkin loves them to which is quite unusual for Syrian hamsters). Don't worry Loki if you eat all your veg I'm sure you will get more yummy mealworms!

So sweet to see him enjoying watching TV with you and attacking the piece of tissue!
