Recently adopted dwarf
Hello,
I have recently adopted a very timid dwarf hamster, and I have bought a Ferplast Criceti 15 for her.
I have been looking at it today, and the bar spacing is about 1cm, which seems a little on the large size.
Is this ok for a dwarf hamster? She lives alone, as this was the reason she was up for adoption. She is about five months old.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Re: Recently adopted dwarf
Is she a russian hybrid dwarf ham? 1cm is fine for most dwarfs except maybe a really tiny robo but an almost fully grown hybrid would be fine.
If she's really timid try to give her a few nice places to hide out, it can take them a while to adjust to a new cage & home too so give her time to settle.

I just get so paranoid! I don't know what I was imagining her being able to do..
Thanks, you've helped but my mind at rest a bit!
