So when I bought Rose I was told she was girl. I didn't really question it. I was looking at her today and looked at her belly and got concerned because I saw this little yellowish spot. I decided to research and realized... She may a boy. And that it's probably a scent gland. I don't really care if she's a he but I want to make sure that area looks okay! I don't want anything to be wrong.
That looks like a normal scent gland to me, it can look a bit yellowish sometimes before they clean it up, they can get blocked too but that looks ok as far as I can see.

The two vents at the back are quite far apart with fur between them which does look male. Can you feel the testicles at the back there? The scent glad is usually more pronounced ib a male and secretes a yellowish scent which can stain.
You may well have a Ross!
I will have to check and see if I feel testicles. But so far I'd say everything points to male lol. The scent gland looks cleaner today. So that's good. I was worried it looked a little crusty but it doesn't appear blocked or anything? If anything, it'll be a vet trip just to make sure since I'm still relatively new to all this (even if I've had "her" for near a year now).
