Are those foam blocks safe for chewing? They sound great, esp as an alternative to edible treats but I'd be worried about them ingesting them. Could you tell me the name of them, if you haven't already in a later post (sorry, I'm catching up on all my unread posts - argh)

Sure, there are 2 different companies: Pet Smart sells All Living Things "garden patch pops"
Then Pet-Co sells Carnival Crops Rice Pops
Chew treats, helps reduce boredom it says, very true!

Re: Cinnamon Bear
Thanks Cinnamon Bear! Whoops, I forgot you're in the US, I'll have a look & see if we have the equivalent of those in the UK. The closest I think I've seen are:
Happy Pet Alfalfa Dumbells (3 Pack) | Small Animal | Happy Pet
but the Garden patch pops look a lot tastier! I've never seen anything that look like the Rice Pops here, has anyone else? Our hams get puffed rice as treats & even the fussiest likes them so I think bigger versions would go down a storm!

Re: Cinnamon Bear
Cinnamon's Silent Runner is not defective, I just looked at Koalas wheel & silly me put it together wrong! That makes me feel better, Cinnamon can have his new wheel tonight! Yay!

Yes, it's not the same, you're right. I think that's the closest I've seen to the American ones. Will have to check Amazon UK see if have them. I don't like my hammies missing out on treats

They sell the treats with alfalfa too but I never tried those? I think my hammies would eat the foam & leave the alfalfa so I don't bother?

Re: Cinnamon Bear
Totally agree Cinnamon Bear, ours don't seem to like alfafa either. Even Gizmo who loved celery & all veg.
I keep telling them it's good for them but they ignore me. I haven't given any the Happy Pet dumbells that I linked yet, but I think the outside will be devoured & the inside totally avoided, just like you say!

Re: Cinnamon Bear
Cinnamon discovered his wheel, he didn't go crazy in it like Koala did (Koala would run for 3 hours), I'm sure he will like it tho
I got cute pics but too tired to post them right now.
