Mocha and Caramel

So cute! Do they nibble on Whimzees a lot? Penny devours hers and Oliver nibbles on it every so often. The rest don't touch them.

They only get them occasionally but when they do, they gnaw on it full force. Java loves hers too, Biscotti uses his but not as much as Java.

So everyone is getting nail clippings today. Caramel was very good for his, sat nice and still and I got all nails in one sitting.

Mocha on the other hand... I've got probably a paw and a half done. If he didn't wriggle so much I wouldn't have to do it so often. Letting him relax then getting him out again for some more nails to be clipped.

He actually got so mad and stressed, he began evacuating his cheek pouches I feel so bad but it's for his own good. Sigh. Poor guy.

Aw poor thing. I hate nail clippings because the animal gets a but stressed...but I am good at it. I've done it on larger animals my whole life, I could trance rabbits and guinea pigs when I was really young, and I can do a hamster fairly quickly. That said, I don't really have a fidgety hamster atm.

Mocha is the only one who is a pain to do. The others are good, even Java. :/

Rebel can be a pain but once she's scruffed she's good.

But as you can imagine with all my pets, once you finish nail trims the one you did first needs hers done again!


A friend has been taking his rabbit to the vet to get her nails clipped and I facetimed him to teach him how, lol. I used the smallest bunny. Pumpkin was surprisingly still....!

Mocha and Caramel also got some photos taken last night. It's hard for me to get pictures of them in hand, but my SO helped a bit too.

Caramel is usually pretty happy to just chill in my hand.


"I'M ON THE MOVE" says Mocha. Caramel has accepted photoshoots as a part of life. "Just get it over with" he says.

They are both very friendly, however Mocha is the friendlier one. Caramel kinda plods along happily and puts up with Mocha when he's being silly, then stands on his head to take a drink since Mocha nests under the one waterbottle. It's kind of hilarious.
