Default Marvin the aggressive hamster

In pets at home adoption there was a little russian dwarf named Pop. Well, pop arrived on the 12th of June and he came home with me today. The problem..? Pop (now called Marvin) is cage possessive and aggressive. In the centre, he bit every single person who touched him.. except me. I decided to give him a chance. Any tips or advice? I have only owned syrians.. well, I have one syrian of my own. My Syrian, Pepper, is the sweetest little girl ever. I've never owned a dwarf, only read about them, but I feared he'd never find a home and I just wanted to help him. Maybe adopting him was stupid since I have so little experience but I'm determimed to try and make this work. This is where I need you. Please can you give me some good advice? I heard putting tissue in your clothing for a while and then placing this tissue in their cage will help. Is this true?

Thank you so much in advance.

I used the scented tissue thing when I first bought Charlotte home and I think it helped.

Another idea if he's aggressive in his cage is to remove him from the cage by encouraging him to enter a tube or a ball or basically anything other than your hand. Once he's out of his cage he may feel less territorial and less inclined to bite.

Thanks, I'd thought about that. I actually don't have a ball though so I may have to purchase one. My Syrian, Pepper, really did not like her ball so when I clean her cage she just sits in my pocket which, I understand, probably won't be possible to do with Marvin.
