Default Re: silicone baking pan

Keep them for your own baking and such, but definitely don't use them for hamsters. As Ria P mentions silicon baking pans and such are quite soft - more than soft enough for hamsters to chew them which presents the risk of accidental ingestion.

While silicon itself is considered non toxic that doesn't mean it should be eaten. Many things are labelled non toxic but should never be ingested - think BPA free plastics(non toxic but completely indigestible), Elmer's glue(basically plastic, synthetic petroleum, I could go on for longer about this one but I won't) and similar PVA glues, and many other common household items.
