Smile Red light and bin cage setup :)

Hi! So I read somewhere on here that hamsters perceive red light as darkness so it helps us to be able to see them while they’re awake without the regular light bothering them. I went to target and walmart today and got the lights on a really good sale so here’s my setup! Me and Ollie moved into my apartment today (we were with my parents for the holidays) and she’s settling in so well! I will let her settle for a few days before really starting the taming process! Anyways I think the setup is pretty cool so I wanted to share with you guys!

That does look cool. I have red lights near my hamsters cages too but i don't put them directly on the cage, only above, just in case they can see something.

I was actually thinking of taking the ones on her cage off because I had the same thought of it maybe being bothersome if she can see the light so i’ll probably be making an adjustment to that (and of course I turn the lights off when I go to bed so that she can feel free to romp around in complete darkness)
