@AmityvilleHams. I agree. I went into Dunelm to get a 100l box 75x38 and it looks dramatically smaller from the inside than out. I have two robos in there and I feel guilty. This is their first set up. I’m looking to replace them in either a Duna or zoozone after.

I have just measured my hamster's bin cage from wilkos, xmas tree box

Her bedding depth is 8inches, due to the tapering (larger at top) I started on the top of her bedding.
It is 38 inches by 14 inches totalling 532 inches squared.

If you did lower bedding height then the dimensions will be smaller.
8 inches workes well as they can burrow deep but also with houses and other items they can't escape out the top.

I couldn't resist the challenge to make a bin cage from a Xmas tree box so went out to buy the biggest one i could find which was the 133l box from Wickes for £15.
Have done the lid and will add windows next. I think that i need to add quite a few for proper circulation...

I've finished the Xmas tree box bin cage with three windows at the front and three windows at the back so now i have to figure out what to do with it. Its 88cmx30cmx41cm measured at the smallest part at the base not the lid so not too bad for a bin and ok for a dwarf.

Went a bit mad with colour, the back of box is even 'worse'. The dull weather makes me do that. Thanks for pointing these boxes out.
