Homemade enrichment
Hi, just wanted to share the blue Peter moment I had yesterday. I wanted to give mine and my daughter's hamsters something to occupy them. I'm really happy with how they turned out and my daughter's hamster is going nutty at his as I write this!
They are just strips of toilet roll tubes dipped in flour glue and small forage bits threaded onto jute string with peanuts/treat biscuit in between.

Re: Homemade enrichment
What a fab idea and they look decorative as well!
Flour glue, is that flour mixed with water?

Re: Homemade enrichment
Yes, just make a paste thick enough for the treats to stick to, then leave them overnight to dry. I sometimes put a pinch of peanut butter powder in the mix to encourage them. My little boy has found his now and is a very busy boy!
