Super simple DIY Detolf Lid
Hey guys,
I haven't seen this detolf lid idea on the forum so far so thought I'd share as it's so super easy and cheap!
I bought three Ikea Ribba 40x50cm photo frames and some wire mesh from my local DIY store.
Cut the mesh to size.
Popped out the plastic and backing board from the frame and slotted in the wire mesh which is secured in the same way as the plastic and board from the frame was.
No need for glue or staple guns or anything like that. All I needed was a wire cutters.
Also if you have a saw, you can cut into the frame to make an indent where the glass sits to ensure it sits snuggly on the glass.
So far I've only used two of the frames. No other animals in the house so my winter white is safe. To use the third I would have to sand it down by about 5cm either side for it to fit.
