The glue I have is ponal express, everything else on it is in German & I've had it such a long time I can't remember if there's anything else specific you need to know!
This is the one I have.

But in clear.

I don't think you'll find the aerosol is water based which is what you want, this is the one. You can use the coloured ones too but it must be water based.

Re: Help me with these materials, please!!
I have the Ponal Classic The one I linked. So it probably doesn't matter which one if Cypher finds the other one good too. The classic one I have looks and smells a bit like Copydex - it welds wood like nobody's business though.
Quite understand you wanting to make your own platform and it'll fit right and be a nice creation.
The aerosol plastikote is very smelly due to the fumes - people have used it in the past (would suggest outside!) and you would need to leave it quite a while afterwards to make sure no toxic fumes or smell left.
I am not sure if it is safe then. Which is why people went on to the paint on water based one.
You could get two bottles of the water based paint on one - then you definitely wouldn't run out and could paint both sides It is very thin liquid which is why it goes to far and covers well.
I used one pot to paint a shelf in my Barney cage on both sides and also one coat on the roof of a long house - if that helps.
I painted a wood wheel with two coats and had 2/3 of the bottle left. But getting two bottles means you have plenty and some spare. It is so quick and easy to paint on - took me 10 minutes to do a wheel with one coat.
