Default Make your wheel really silent

Hi guys!
Just wanted to share a life hack I came up with recently, since I haven't seen anything similar.
Note: I have a 23 cm/9 inch Trixie wheel. Not sure whether it will work with other types

So, I watched dozens of tutorials on how to make a wheel silent, and tried a number of those tips: scotch tape, oil, rubber band... But what really helped me is simply wrapping a tiny part of the metal "legs" (the one that the wheel touches when spinning) with a thin (!) rope/jute.
And now it runs veeery smoothly. Easy peasy!
Maybe someone will find it helpful

Just wanted to note that any oil used with hamsters (or any rodents really) should be vegetable oil. Hamsters have a habit of licking things, and other oil is potentially toxic to them. Nice information

Excellent! Do you have photos to show how to do it?

The key is just to find that spot where a wheel touches a metal part. And not to overdo it. Otherwise, it will be hard for a hamster to spin it
