Default Boring hamster cage?

Im bored of my hamsters cage - and im sure he's bored of it. He has chewy stuff, a wheel, different levels with ladders, but thats sort of basic. I dont have that much floor space but i have a bit, and i want to get Milo a house but - not a usual hamster house, because when i got him that he didnt get up! He must of loved it, so for now he's sleeping down at the bottom. (photos below) I want some fun stuff thats cheap to buy or make.

His wheel, chewy and food in the tube.

His sleeping area

His water and egg biscuit

and the whole cage.

Some people on another forum were talking about making paper mache houses for their pets, without the PVA though obviously. You could just get loads of cheap toilet roll or kitchen towel and soak it in the water and mould it into shapes. Then the hammy can chew it and play in it once its hardened I haven't actually tried this yet but I plan to as soon as I go back to uni

I make treat balls for my hamsters where you cut a toilet roll tube into 6 rings and wrap up a treat such as a peanut inside so they have to chew the cardboard to get it out, I also put these in interesting/hard to get to places so they really have to work to get it, like hanging from the top of the cage and stuff

Hahaha silly hamster!

Also you could try making hammocks and stuff or buying them, mine love the yellow fluffy tunnel things I got from pets at home in the bird section... i think it was about £3

Or I know some people make their own hammocks out of flannels and stuff and just put some rings in to connect them to the roof of the cage? I was just thinking u could maybe put some hanging stuff in as you have a nice tall cage

Also these things are good:

Suspension Bridge Wooden Hamster Gerbil Cage Pet Ladder 6221: Amazon.co.uk: Garden & Outdoors

Although it would be more cost effective if you ordered more stuff at the same time, thats what I did (just ordered loads of toys when I could afford it, then the postage doesn't seem as bad) and I think I've seen them cheaper somewhere

Just had another thought - is his wheel big enough for him? It looks like a 6 inch one to me but I don't know, if he had one that he could run in more comfortably maybe he'd chew less? Might be worth a try
