DIY Treats (Takes around 30 mins)
So the other night I made these little treat balls for Oz:

They don't look very appetizing to us humans so if aesthetic is important for you, you could always use a little vegetable food colouring to fancy it up!
For me, this was a test run so I didn't use any colouring - but Oz loved the one I gave him regardless!
You will need:
- 2 tablespoons of Meridan Peanut and Coconut Butter
(or a similar substitute if it's not available)
- A handful of a treat of your choice
(Includes any hamster-safe fruit, veg, seeds, nuts, or even crushed
mealworms. I used 1 half of a smushed banana)
- 2 tablespoons of wholewheat flour
- A splash of water
- Preheat your oven to 150 degrees Celsius (302 degrees Fahrenheit)
- Mix the Peanut and Coconut Butter and the treat you chose together until they form a well combined paste
- Add the wholewheat flour and mix into a dough; if the dough remains sticky, keep adding little bits of flour at a time until it is a dry dough that doesn't stick
- Pull the dough into any shape you like - I chose little spheres - and use the water to wet it so you can shape it easily and so that the dough sticks to itself
- Place the dough shapes onto a baking tray and put in the oven for 20 minutes - this ensures that they will be hard enough to wear your hamster's teeth down when they nibble at the treat
Keep the treats in an airtight container to keep them fresh and they should be good for about a month! They shouldn't be fed to your hamster more than a couple times a week though; treats are lovely, but not necessarily healthy in large amounts!

Re: DIY Treats (Takes around 30 mins)
This recipe seems awesome. I love trying new recipes for pets, especially homemade ones.
