Cool hamster entertainment

hi everyone,

Over the last couple of days sherbet has become quite bored.
(even though he should not be running around because of his swollen paw)
He is a very energetic hamster and likes to run around a lot but hates it on his wheel.
I've tried toilet roll toys, chew toys, wheels, bridges, platforms e.c.t
but he doesn't seem to play on hem much anymore.
Can hamsters get bored of there toys after a while or is my hamster just a spoilt little dude that gets everything?
Is there any homemade toys that you would advise me to make for him?
thanks

Our hamsters are only really interested in anything to do with food Does he have a treat stick? In colder weather they tend to prefer their nest usually. It's maybe good he's not using his wheel while his paw is swollen, but generally they do use their wheels daily. What wheel is it? Can't remember if you have a syrian or a dwarf but for syrians it's often when the wheel isn't big enough they don't use it.

His wheel is a silent spinner.
He is a Syrian but he has never used his wheel since he I got him.
I think he just doesn't like it much.

Is it the 6" one? Because that one is too small for a Syrian which is why he may not be using it - it would be uncomfortable and can give them back pain. The 12" one is enormous - and there have been issues with it being stiff and not spinning well, so if it's the big one he may have just given up on it. This is a good basic wheel for a Syrian and not too expensive
