DIY paper bedding.
I'm making my own paper bedding and I was wondering if you can put the balls of mush in the microwave to dry it faster since I don't have a blow dryer.

Re: DIY paper bedding.
Like is there any way to make it dry faster that does not involves a oven, blow dryer or tumble dryer.

Re: DIY paper bedding.
I don't think so. I leave any homemade paper bedding I make out to dry over night. It really doesn't take all that long IMO. Good luck with your bedding!

Re: DIY paper bedding.
May I ask what type of paper both of you use and do you use it in a small area of the cage for bedding or a larger area?
It sounds like a great idea.

Re: DIY paper bedding.
I'm so lazy, I just use toilet roll torn into strips. Both my hamsters love it.

Re: DIY paper bedding.
I personally often used toilet roll strips and packed it down very gently into a small container and mixed in flax seed. This works really good for foraging, and is honestly one of the easiest DIY enrichment options plus it takes very little time to make!

Re: DIY paper bedding.
I use toilet paper and I'm using it as a temp solution until my next paycheck on the 3rd.

I use just plain white paper or toilet tissue (sometimes even a mix of both) and wet it, creating a care fresh type consistency. I don't fill the whole cage with it as it's just so time consuming and makes so little, but a small portion has some just for fun

Re: DIY paper bedding.
For bedding I just use toilet paper torn into strips, Ghost is using it a little, Pip used to pouch it and then kind of chew it to get it just right for her.
I have used torn toilet paper for all of our hams with out any problems at all.
