Detolf glass divider
I have been trying for days now to figure out something specific about dividing a detolf with the glass shelves. I can't find anything specific on how to actually do it.
Just that you can do it.
Help please!?!

Re: Detolf glass divider
Im not sure how you'd specifically do it with glass, but Erin'sanimals made a video on dividing the detolf in general. She uses wood in this video, but I'm sure the same concept would apply to glass or any other material you would like to use.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Kh9qYq9Cf7g
In the video, she essentially cuts it to size, then fits it and glues it into the detolf. Then she adds sealent so her hams cannot smell each other

I'm not sure either, but I thought that the detolf was a showcase with shelves, so... could you just use the shelves that it already has?

Re: Detolf glass divider
That's the one that is everywhere, yes, but you can't cut glass, which means a hole in the bottom.

I didn't know that there was a hole in the bottom. What kind of hole? could you block it whit sealant? maybe with a piece of wood and sealant to attach the wood to the glass? A picture may help to understand the problem

I haven't worked with sealant before, so I can't answer anything about that. I'm reluctant to just put wood in. I'm pretty sure Tiki won't be able to resist chewing it.

Re: Detolf glass divider
Aquarium sealant might work to hold the glass in place. The glass shelf would need to fit in quite tight then you squirt the sealant over the join and leave it to dry.
It comes in tubes so shouldn't be too hard to apply. You may need something to hold it in the right place while you apply the sealant and also while it dries.
It may be easier if the Detolf is standing upright like it was meant to.
