DIY platform for Marrakesch
so the problem I had with the cage was that I felt that only half the space was being used. so a home made platform was needed to make use of the sauce is this lovely large cage.
the legs of the platform are pine but sadly I had to use plywood for the platform itself so of course that had to be covered. plastikote covers the whole platform the colours are hot pink and lavender. the little safety fence are bamboo garden labels that I got from wilko and were untreated.
the ladders are bendy bridges that I have hooked on to U-pins hammered into the platform.
other additions are the hideaway house in the corner also covered with plastikote. the Cork tube.
I have some how managed to lose the the velcro that came with the water bottle so until I can get some more I have tide it on with jute string.
and two bolts of course to prevent escape.

Looks like it turned out very nice! How long did it take you to make in total? I'm sure your ham will love it

Re: DIY platform for Marrakesch
Once i had got all the bits together it took about 3 days. I always wait 24 hours for glue to dry even if it is pva kids safe glue. And the plastikote only took about 1 hour to dry reafy for the next coat.

Ah so not too long then. I wish I was talented enough to make things like this, I'm only good with building larger things like furniture

Oh wow - that really makes the set up great. So much more than just open space. It's excellent.
