Default Not easily destroyed toys?

I have a hamster named Cocoa who loves to chew. Usually I just throw in some cardboard for her to chew, but I find the next day that it's totally and utterly dilapidated. I was wondering if there was any toys that you can make that aren't easily destroyed, like wooden toys.

You can make toys using plain lolly sticks bought from a craft shop and with non-toxic PVA glue. This might give you some ideas. This YouTube channel (ErinsAnimals) has a lot of lollystick craft tutorials for hamsters as does VanillaHamHam or just Vanilla on the forum.

To paint the lollysticks, I recommend plant based/natural food dye. You can find it at a supermarket and they are totally safe .

Have you tried Whimzees / Greenies dog chews? They're the two dog chews that are hamster safe.

Inky decided she liked her Greenies a bit more than was really reasonable, but she has a Whimzee now and while it's being used she hasn't demolished it in 48 hours as she did with the Greenies!

You can buy them in Pets at Home (if you're in the UK - I'm sure they're sold elsewhere) individually for less than £1 depending on size, so they're good value for money.

If she's a real chewer then I doubt any safe home made toys will last much more than five minutes!
The chews InkyPen mentioned would definitely be worth a try & would hopefully last a bit longer, some chew sticks/twigs might be good too.

Maybe try the thicker cardboard tubes sold for hamsters or even Guinea pigs/rabbits.

If your hamster likes chewing it may like the wood sticks designed for hamsters to chew that most hamsters ignore. I had better success with the long narrow willow ones than the small fruit shaped ones or the simple blocks.
