Question Plastikote safe for chewing?

I know that soy paint is safe for chewing, but white and pastel colours aren't available anywhere (please let me know if you find them anywhere).
The water-based plastikote enamel is said to be safe for waterproofing stuff, but how about for use on chew toys? I was thinking about getting some bottles of matt white plastikote and adding natural food colouring to them.
Do you know any other alternatives to soy paint?

Plastikote is fine for things that may just get chewed a little bit but tbh I wouldn't paint chew toys with anything.

I wonder why soy paint is so hard to find - I was so excited when I learned about it but then all that seems to be available are yellow shades.

I found this edible paint made with soya but I don't know if it's hamster-edible. (Edit: I am too new and untrustworthy to post links, but the product is called "Colour Splash Edible Paint Matt White" and is sold by The Craft Company.) Does anyone know if it's safe for hams? The ingredients are as follows:

Water; humectant: glycerine E422; stabiliser: gum arabic E414; colour: titanium dioxide E171; emulsifier: soya lecithin E322; thickener: acetylated di-starch adipate E1422; acidity regulator: citric acid E330; preservative: potassium sorbate E202.

I use the clear plastikote spray from wilkos for shelves but leave wooden toys. x

Yeah, all I managed to get was a sort of beige colour. It's a shame there are so few pet safe paints.
I'd be worried about the citric acid in the Colour Splash paint, but thanks anyway

Isn't some plastokote paints okay for chewing and others aren't? Also what about cuprinol? You might want to check up on them, I have heard that their colours are chew proof but I'm not completely sure and I'm short on time right now! Sorry!

Actually citric acid is completely fine when used as a preservative

Plastikote comes in a spray which lots of people do use though I never have so it is safe, the brush on enamels come in a safe water based type & another (oil based, not sure!) which isn't safe.

Quite a lot of people have been using cuprinol, again not something I've used but it seems to be fine.
