Default Hamster thank you card

Hello

Tilly is back now from her last stay at the hamster hotel, she has stayed there 4 times since we got her in December and is always well looked after so we wanted to make a card for the owners using Tilly's paw prints,
I think I've seen someone else with a picture of there hamsters paw prints,
Not sure what paint/ food colouring to use? Has any one done this before?

How do you do it?

Thanks

I think I've heard of people using ordinary food colouring that you can buy from any supermarket before although I've not tried it myself to be able to say how well it works.

It may stain their paws for a little bit but since you'll find food colouring in some hamster foods, it shouldn't be harmful if they lick it.

I don't think I'd use food colouring on a hammy. Neat colour could not only stain them but could make them ill in high concentrations. It could even get through the skin into the blood stream.
I think a nice photo would be much better!

That's a good point.

I'm not sure whether those that had used it had diluted it or anything or how they got it on to the hamster's paws. I personally wouldn't do it with my own hamsters but think Souffle's suggestion is a lovely alternative. After all, who can resist a cute hamster photo.
