Hi guys i thought i'd show you all the little diy project I've been doing. i saw something similar to this online but thought i could make one myself much cheaper and i do like to do a bit of diy ! It was just made with bits that i had lying around, the only thing i did buy were the applewood coins which i bought from the lovely lady at chinchillas2shop who i highly recoommend!
I would have used a nice bit of wood for the base if it was going to be on show but as you can see it is buried under substrate so didn't need to be anything special!
That is a truly great idea! You did a good job with it. I just thought as I was looking at it that it can also be used with a bucket trap if a hammy escapes. Hammy would recognize the scent and might be more willing to climb it. I'd like to try making it for that purpose myself...maybe make a step or two high enough to reach my wash bucket. Creative!

How's your ham liking it?
He seems to like them, he's slowed down a bit recently, possibly a midlife crisis as he's coming up to a year old so i thought he might appreciate them.
He seems to prefer these than a ramp up to his shelf, and he approves of them being nibble-worthy !
