Default DIY Syrian cage

After toying with the idea of getting a Syrian to add to our furry mix (Dog, 1 gerbil, 4 rats) me and my hubby went ahead and re-purposed our old book case.

This is what we have

Internal measurements are

L76cm x W76cm x H30cm with a mesh lid

5806cm^2 floor space

Its not the best looking but we love it, and can't wait to fill it up with hamster friendly goodies

I've taken a few pics and will post one or two once the silicone has dried and once we've filled it up

Started with this bookcase, similar to an IKEA Expedit

We took out the shelve, the A4 paper is for size comparison

Meshed up the top
