Default Adding a roof cage door on a Barred cage?

At the moment I have a Mamble 100 which I like but I am having issues with getting/arranging items and cleaning the top shelves. I have one good arm and even with the other one getting to the top left side of the cage is a pain. I really want to add in a large single top shelf the same length as the cage and just a little smaller in width but that will make access even more difficult for me. So I'd like to ask everyone if they know of any ways or have any ideas on how to add in a cage door to the roof of my Mamble

Default Re: Adding a roof cage door on a Barred cage?

My husband came up with an idea. Since the Mamble flat packs the roof as a whole comes off. At the moment we are looking at removable clips to clip the roof on instead of the wire hooks on the cage and the cable ties that currently hold it in place. The idea being that when I need to I can just unclip it and lift the roof up. I'll post again once we have it done, although it might be awhile since I'm currently focusing on the tank add-on to his cage .
