Bridge from a belt
I found a 'belt' in a box that has never been used. My wife said it was given to her to go with a dress for a christmas do but she didnt like it so never wore it. The beads are plastic and I made a bridge out of it. I used the same thick wire I used for the bendy bridge.
Placed them on the wire with dowles after I drilled holes.
Hanging in the cage waiting to be used.

Re: Bridge from a belt
Thanks CP. I have just asked her to look in charity shops to see if there are any beads or belts in there so I can make some more. It is a stiff bridge, I dont know wether to make one with string / rope. The original belt was on a long rope like a shoe lace.

Looks great
What's that black thing with something white on top in the left bottom corner of the last pic?

Re: Bridge from a belt
The black thing is an ice cream tub, sprayed black with plastikote and turned up side down. The white bit on top is a piece of coconut I cut out of the coconut with a hole cutting drill bit. I put it in to see if Ginger will eat coconut. If she does, the coconut can be eaten out. Something for her to do. lol.
It was pure hell eating the ice cream from that tub. The things we have to do for our hamsters. I might have to empty another icecream tub to make a corner loo for her. I dont know how I am going to manage it. I am brave and dont even ask my wife to help me. The sacrifices I go through, we all go through. Mmmmmmmmmmmm

Re: Bridge from a belt
That is FAB. Ginger is going to love living with you and all your fancy diy toys. They're better than what pet shops sell!
Not more ice cream. What a kind person you are.

Thoughtful and helpful.
I ate a large galaxy bar last night and thought perhaps something can be made with the wrapper. But no, nothing can be made with it. Oh well, a sacrifice that did not need to happen. I felt better after though. lol
And when I went doctors for my yearly mot, I have even lost weight. lol

Go for it. You will feel pleased afterwards. Even if you cant think of anything to make out of the wrapper except a paper plane. Hams cant play with them so they just end up in the bin.
I lose weight and done even exercise. lol. I am now just under 15 stone . Down from 17 1/2 stone. I still eat healthy meals, like bacon and eggs, chips, burgers, liver, haggis, But it must be the odd fish I eat once in a blue moon that puts that couple of pounds back on. lol

Re: Bridge from a belt
Lol yes, the fish, that MUST be the culprit. I guess you will have to cut that out and swap it for a large bacon sausage and egg
