Could I use one of these?
my Jocardi loved to hang from the bars of her old cage, but her new one doesn't have any and the wire on the lid really isn't suitable for her to hang from (plus its a long drop).
Id love to put something in for her to hang from. I was thinking if I could find something like this the right size ( an oven rack or cooling tray) do you think it would be hammy safe?

Re: Could I use one of these?
Sounds like a good idea....maybe introduce it in a playpen or during playtime. I'd want to make sure that my ham isn't a bit too clumsy with some toys before leaving them go at it unsupervised, lol......
That way if she's prone to getting feet stuck, or falling over, you'll know, and can help her get out of a mess without spraining anything?

Re: Could I use one of these?
I have one in Mitzi's playpen, and she loves climbing on it. As Skeever said, getting a foot stuck is the main concern. Make sure the bars are fairly far apart - at least far apart enough that her feet aren't in any danger of getting caught.
Also, I'd monitor her at first to make sure she doesn't take to chewing on it. I'd imagine chewing on it would cause the same health problems as chewing on cage bars.
