Default 101 uses for sisal string?

So back when Margo was in a barred cage, I bought a 100 yard spool of 1/4 inch sisal string. My intention was to make my own hanging toys, tie chew toys to the sides, maybe make some ladders to climb, etc. but before I did, I moved Margo into a glass tank, so the sisal is just gathering dust in a drawer now.

I do have one hanging toy in there, hanging from a suction-cup hook, but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for glass-tank-friendly toys made of sisal string

Just something I thought I'd mention: I bought a spool of sisal to make toys for my chinchillas but in talking to the person I buy my toy parts from was informed that a lot of commercial sisal twine is treated to prevent it from rotting if you use it in the garden. You have to look around for the stuff that is specifically labeled as untreated

I think the sniff test might be enough to tell you, the companies never seem to label it if it's treated, you can only be sure if you buy it labeled "untreated". Personally I wouldn't risk it unless I was certain.

Yeah, definitely, I wouldn't either, now that I know.

Okay so I just looked up the one I bought on amazon and it says,"Sisal rope is a natural fiber twisted rope. Our sisal rope does not have any oils or chemicals. It is biodegradable and economical. Our sisal rope is pet safe and has been thoroughly tested and used for cat scratching posts and bird toys."

XD I probably read that when I bought it, but forgot. I'll check to make sure I got the right one when I get home, but for now I seem to be in the clear.

You could do garlands to string around the cage, or vertical hanging toys or hanging platforms with toys on the hanging parts. I've made a few, I'll try to think of some ideas for you

Thing is there's nothing to hang things like that in a glass tank:/ the lid is mesh, but couldn't bear the weight if she tried to climb it.

I kind of like the idea of garland though; I could use some more suction cups to hang it up :$
