Wood Thickness Q
I'm going to be using birch plywood to make a barrier in the base between Fitch and sand in Badgers new cage but I'm unsure as to what thickness would be suitable. What would you guys suggest?

Re: Wood Thickness Q
I'm not sure if companies still do but, the glue used in plywood to put the sheets together is called urea formaldehyde and I believe that this can cause health problems in humans if any dust is produced and if your hamster were to chew it that might cause problems, though I don't know whether it causes problems in hamsters.

Re: Wood Thickness Q
Birch plywood is what is recommended by a lot of hamster owners in Germany - at least I know of a lot that use it and the shelves, houses etc with the Barney and Alexander are made from it too. No problems have been reported Thanks though!

Re: Wood Thickness Q
Okay, I thought that might be the case that it depends on the type.
