Bin cages and Perspex
I am looking into making a bin cage for my sons two dwarf hamsters. Main reason is the cage he currently has isn't very good for views the hamsters. I had seen a cage that someone had cut out and attached Perspex instead of mesh but not sure how you would fix the Perspex to the bin???
Anyone got any ideas??
I know ventilation is a must and I plan to mesh the lid and mesh the back side of the bin and have some drill holes on the sides.

Might be because I've just eaten and I'm super sleepy but I'm not sure what you mean? Can you post a link to the picture of the cage you saw?

Re: Bin cages and Perspex
Ahh that sounds good, never thought about aquarium sealant. Assuming this would be non toxic too since it's safe for fish. Yeah it's a really good idea. My son is only 5 so can't really handle the hamsters on his own yet but loves to watch them but his cage is rubbish for being able to see them without sitting at silly angles. Just though this might be better than wire mesh for viewing purposes
