Storage box hideout
Ok, I bought a round storage cardboard box and cut 3 holes around the sides and 3 holes on top for the Syrians to crawl through and out through the top.
It's not clean-cut. It was quite a pain. lol The second picture is awful, but you can see Penny peeking through the top.

Re: Storage box hideout
Now, that is a great idea. Oh darn it! I had an old hatbox of my mothers and I threw it out! It would have been great in Ted E's playpen!

Re: Storage box hideout
Thanks! I was trying to call it a hat box but wasn't sure if it was the right height to still be called one, but yes, a hat box! Lol I bought it at the craft store. Gizmo's currently playing in it now. Guess they like it.

Great idea for the playpen. I'll have to have a look in my craft room to see if I have any boxes like that.

Re: Storage box hideout
Thanks! My cats have a toy- a wood box with a bunch of holes along the sides and on the top (for them to reach in with their paws and bat a ball) so I've been wanting that idea for the hamsters. The cat one is too small for Syrians but I bet Beanie could use it!
This is the cat toy: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...L._SL1500_.jpg
I wonder if this could be done with Elmer's Glue..

It's a lovely idea If I can find a storage box like that I might have a go.
