Expedit hamster cage : need help !!!
Hi guys !!!
We're building a hamster cage from scratch... We Still have to figure out 3 things...
1: how to create ventilation ?
2: how Will the bottles stand ?
3: what to do to avoid the bottom to get dirty/stained from fluides ?
Many thanks to you !! We're open to any suggestions !!

We resolved the #1...
Not sure about the #3 but #2 is still to figure out... Other than velcro, what could be used ?
Thanks

Re: Expedit hamster cage : need help !!!
I made an IKEA Billy extension unit for my dwarf, Smudge. She easily litter trained, but my Chinese that is in there now...pees everywhere!! It WAS ruining the wood so I've tried several things.
#1 - Contact paper...which worked for a while, but then Pippa began eating it
#2 - Adhesive linoleum tiles....this has worked wonders! You can buy them separately (instead of in a case). Just make sure to use aquarium sealant on the joins and around the edges to keep the hammy piddle from shaping through

Contact paper is a thin plastic paper (with an adhesive back) that is used to line pantry shelves and drawers in the kitchen. It is easily removable or repositionable. It's a great alternative to the wood (IF your hamster doesn't eat it, like Pippa

Hahaha...you're so funny! . It's fantastic to use because it comes in a BIG roll and there is more than enough so that you can replace it whenever you need to.
