Default new tub cages:made on sunday

I made some new tub cages on Sunday as i am converting to almost completely tubs.
i took some pictures of them today, enjoy,

one of the new ones

the female side of the hamstery, i believe there are 7 actual hamsters in those cages altogether, all females.

basic setup of my cages, all have different bits and bobs to play with though, i swap toys round every clean out so they get some variety.

Wow, those are very impressive Alex. They certainly save a lot of space as you can stack them up. I am going to have to have a go at making a bin cage...

Those tubs look really good!

Where did you get them from and what size are they roughly?

I think they would fit beautifully on my new storage rack, but i've had problems finding storage boxes in that sort of size

I saw coloured boxes like yours but assumed the hammies wouldn't be as easy to view through it?

You have inspired me to jump on my bike to tesco to get a storage tub! I was thinking of getting one that size but was unsure, I know now!!

I really like your tub cage. I was curious about what sort of cage would be appropriate for my three dwarf hamsters and was told about the zoolab cage, but was too expensive so I made a tub cage - was so easy to do - the same dimensions as the zoolab. I did it by using a hot screwdriver to make holes in the plastic for ventilation and so that i could attach the water bottle, it took me about half an hour to make and cost me a fiver!!! And my hamsters love it, I made a house out of a shoe box with connecting tubes made out of loo rolls. It is fantastic!
