Question German Cages ??

I was looking at the German style cages and have deciding to try to create one! but I have found a bit of a problem, I can't find anywhere veneered particle boards or any plexi glass!, I have looked on the B&Q and Homebase websites but no luck
Any thoughts at all? (I am a beginner to D.I.Y)

Lots of people use the detolf shelving unit from Ikea and turn it on it's side. Then I think you just need to make the roof for it. I've avoided finding out too much about the construction in case I feel inspired to make one

I think Plexiglass is a brand name, if you search for Perspex (also a brand name) or Acrylic glass you might have better luck?

The Ikea Expedit range is also popular, many people modify these in to hamster cages.

For the "wood", look for contiboard (brand name)/MFC (melamine faced chipboard) I know it's the stuff people use to make vivaria

When I built my Perspex tank for pixel and inch, I went to my local glass palace and found they could get the Perspex cut to size cheaper than I found online.
