Default manure/dirt and cat grass

would manure mixed up with dirt be okay? I have some wheat/cat grass planted and was wondering if that would be safe for my Syrian to dig and play in and also eat the grass. its in a small ceramic dish.

sorry wasn't too sure where to put this

I wouldn't use anything that might carry bugs if you're going to put it in the cage - and that includes manure. I grow my fresh food in sterilised topsoil from the garden centre. If you're going to grow it on a windowsill and then cut it to give to the hamster then I would think manure is fine as long as you wash the grass well before feeding, but I would still avoid non organic fertiliser, insecticide etc.
