Wink Friendship bracelet chew toy

I made a chew toy out of hemp. I used the same technique as friendship bracelet or beading jewellery. Here are the pictures

I used the half square knot in the first one and a combination of the half square and the square knot for the second. That's the tutorial for anyone who wants to try them: How to Make a Square Knot and Four Variations -- A Jewelry-making Technique - YouTube

It's quite a useful technique. It's harder for my hammy to chew through the knotted strings. Maximo used to sit on his hammock and chew the string so I used the friendship bracelet technique to secure the hammock and now he can't chew the string as easily as he used to. He's given up now, I think.

I used it to secure his wheel in place as well - he has this tendency of pushing his wheel into his nest. He's protective over his wheel, I think he wants to take it with him when he sleeps, lol.

That bracelet is fantastic, I really fancy having a go at making one. Thanks for uploading the youtube tutorial. My Gizmo isn't a chewer but I think he'd be interested in playing with one of these.
