Default My boardwalk ladders and slide

I'm *finally* done with it I think! It's not as perfect a fit as I'd like but I think I may be well for the time I also don't have bedding (or I'd have left her in there longer then a few min)

There it is itself the longer part is 15" if that's any clue to scale the bedding I sprinkled with the homemade tp bedding that I have in her nest ATM and she seems to love it (having dug it out of my hand a couple times) also the white thing had food in more to show her where some would be in time I honestly don't know if ill leave that specific thing or not

I put her in in the lower part she roamed a bit then found the ladder roamed the top a bit jumped down then used the ladder eventually she found she could pull herself up on top to not just the ladder she has also done that with the slide tho she hasn't actually "used" the slide yet lol

And a picture of her on it "enjoying" it? Lol just after that was of the few times she has jumped on my hand from being in a cage typically I'd have to grab her which can't be that good for her --still I think she will love the bin once done

Also the salt savors are there as a weight to keep the rope ladder down clearly they just ruined it in part and lol I need to re-do it at some point lol but that's likely only when I have more hemp

So how's the look? I used like 200 popsicklesticks a *bunch* of hot glue and even a dremel to cut the sides so they were flat and lol it worked

I've heard as long as they don't chew them they should be (these are craft store ones) my first thought "cheap light wood" it must be pine but I guess it's not lol actually I don't recall it saying on the package lol

I have seen her take a nibble or 2 but I think that (she was at the bottom) possibly to test how sturdy it was (she did the same thing with her edible branch) as she hasn't been in much but hasn't made chewing it a habit

Lol well I had the bin and thought another level would be nice for her

Do you have any powertools? Or experience with them? (I grew up around them know what a fair few things do and how to use them--but if not as familliar then perhaps its better to go with what you do know and let that depict what you make? I know I would have a blast carving anything from a chunk of pine for her with whatever and a vice lol just a drill would be tricky but fun --but just a dremel no matter the bits would be a different kind of tricky but fun)

I'm sure whatever you make they will like it but maby mine is easy to predict? Lol

What keeps it up in the back corners? Have you used popsicle sticks to make stilts?

Here's a few more pics please pardon the messy house

It has stilts yes there 3 popsicklesticks hot glued together the sides/corners also have *tons* of hot glue to prevent it from damaging the bin itself (thought that could hold it up didn't work lol)

Really? It was more fun then pain to make and I got to use my dremel too (I may have a female body but I love guy stuff)

Nice shelf. Although forgive my rudeness but the hammies cage is cleaner than your floor!! (Sorry I'm a bit of a clean freak and found it a bit shocking.)
