Default What Home-made toys are safe for my Syrian?

I was just wondering, I know the usual stuff like toilet tubes cardboard, cereal boxes (do you need to worry about all the ink printing on these boxes?) ..
what else is okay, what about things like, toilet tissue, paper, wood.
Also what toys can I make for her? And what toys have you made that work well? Ive tried making a house out of cardboard and toilet roll tubes but it didn't work well lol.
One last question then i'll stop going on is chinchilla sand okay for a Syrian?

Thank you for you're help, I know there basic questions and you lot probably get asked them all the time, i just wanted a second opinion on some stuff

Yes chinchilla sand and sand used in childrens sand pits are both safe!!! I use chinchilla sand all the the time for my ham!!! P.S. Chinchilla sand is a little more expensive though costing £6 per carton!(I only use it because i can't seem to find any childrens sand!!!)

My Pearl sleeps in an empty face/nose tissue box, she likes it better than the plastic house she had before and wouldnt use, its been laid on its side with nesting material in and she goes in and out of the large slot as her door.

You can get Charlie Chinchilla sand on Pet Supplies & Pet Accessories | PET SUPERMARKET Online Pet Store for only £2.68 and if you chose super saver delivery then delivery is free (takes a little longer to arrive but that's a small price to pay!). BARGAIN
